A delegation from Izhevsk visited Perm to exchange experience in the field of improvement

During a working visit to Perm, a delegation from the capital of the Udmurt Republic learned about practices in the field of landscaping and improvement of public spaces, the development of public transport and forms of interaction with residents.
On April 25, a delegation from Izhevsk, the capital of the Udmurt Republic, visited Perm. The delegation was headed by Maxim Shadrin, Deputy Head of Izhevsk for Housing and Public Utilities and Construction. The delegation also included Deputy Head of the Izhevsk Administration Staff Anna Serezhnikova and Head of the Municipal Institution "Improvement and Road Management Service" Anna Zvereva.
During the round table, Deputy Head of the Department of Roads and Improvement of the Perm Administration Olga Yakovleva spoke about the features of landscaping public areas. She emphasized that a program for the comprehensive improvement of urban spaces has been implemented in Perm since 2021. This approach includes the simultaneous renovation of streets, building facades, outdoor lighting networks, installation of architectural lighting, and repair of adjacent landscaping.
During the meeting, Deputy Head of the City Department of Transport Svetlana Tsymbal told her colleagues from Izhevsk about the organization of public transport. Federal experts have repeatedly recognized the transport system of the city of Perm as one of the best in the country. This was achieved thanks to comprehensive work on updating the rolling stock and infrastructure, as well as high-quality development of the regulatory framework.
- Carriers in Perm work under so-called gross contracts. The carrier is paid for transport work in accordance with the terms of the contract, and the revenue from the fare is transferred to the city budget. At the same time, all carriers are in the same conditions, and the passenger receives the same level of service regardless of the route, - noted Svetlana Tsymbal.
Colleagues from Izhevsk asked questions about the implementation of a comprehensive approach to street and park repairs, maintenance of the city's street and road network, and the activities of subordinate institutions and contractors.
